Final Piece

Making my Final Piece

I started by drawing each of the parts to my drawing separately. After that I took each drawing, altered the levels and got rid of the background (some drawings I coloured in their separate photoshop documents). I then took them into one document and started placing the in the appropriate place. I first placed in the person and the coloured him in in a basic way. I then went on the add the stage in his head and arrange everything in the place I wanted it to be. I then added the crowd by using 5 different models and then colouring them differently and moving them into each individual place.  After that I added a few small details to the man and took this piece into indesign to create the magazine cover. I started by placing the drawing and I then used the typeface I made, to make the title. I added all the text, quotes, bylines and necessary parts to the magazine to finish my final piece.

Final Draft

So this was my final draft with my ideas almost finalised ready to create my final piece. I drew the two main parts of it separately and then put them together in photoshop.

Colour choices

For my colour choices, I decided to use my second experiment and change around the colours to see what it was like.
This is my analogous piece, I feel that it is nice in an understated way and that it kind of represents depression with the reserved colours and fits well with the theme.

This is my monochromatic piece, I don't like it very much as the lack of colours doesn't suit it and makes it look bit silly.

This is my triadic piece and although i think the majority of the piece works well with each other, some of it doesn't work and it would be nice to have a few extra colours to make it looks more suitable.

This is my complementary piece, I think that the bright colours are quite nice and do suit the overall piece family well however the contrast between the two is large and therefore means that it's too bubbly for the piece.

Experimental Drafting 2

This is my second piece of experimental drafting.
I started by sketching an idea of what it would look like to give me an idea of what to draw and how to draw things (to be in perspective etc)
I then inked all the pieces I needed and added them to photoshop.
I arranged the objects to the place i want it to be and changed a few positions for certain objects.
I then added all th colour to these objects in photoshop.

And finally added all the walls and the floor using a colour overlay on ink texture I created to make my finished piece.
